On October 29, the Charity & Security Network sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken urging the State Department to apply extreme scrutiny to any evidence brought forward by the Israeli government in support of its designations criminalizing 6 prominent Palestinian civil society organizations, highlighting a recent C&SN report that details the Israeli government’s connections to a network of lawfare and disinformation groups working to silence and shut down Palestinian civil society. The letter also urges the U.S. government to distance itself from this politicized attack on human rights defenders and to urge the Israeli government to reverse its designations.
