House of Representatives Resolutions:

H.Res. 132: Responding to the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria on February 6, 2023.

This simple resolution was agreed to on February 27, 2023.

This resolution mourns the loss of life in Turkey (Turkiye) and Syria caused by the earthquakes in Turkey on February 6, 2023. The resolution also (1) applauds the work of humanitarian aid and rescue workers on the ground; and (2) condemns the efforts by the Assad regime of Syria to exploit the disaster to evade international pressure and accountability, including by preventing the United Nations from providing assistance through border crossings between Turkey and Syria.

H.Con.Res. 7: Condemning the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses against the brave women and men of Iran peacefully demonstrating in more than 133 cities.

Introduced January 9, 2023. This resolution passed in the House on January 25, 2023 and goes to the Senate next for consideration.

H.Res. 86: Condemning the Burmese military for perpetrating gross violations of human rights as part of its brutal campaign to suppress the democratic aspirations of the people of Burma, two years after the coup d’etat on February 1, 2021.
